DQ TREAT

DQ TREAT

Today after work I was trying to decide
where to take the boys to go eat
since Ernie was going out with friends.
So thanks for the suggestion Carol,
Dairy Queen was an excellent choice.
The best part about it was the special DQ treat
they got since they ate all their food.
Cute kids and ice cream cones always
make for good pictures,
unfortunately quality wasn't the best
since it was on my cell phone.

M&M 3 MONTH OLD VET VISIT

M&M AT THEIR 3 MONTH OLD WELL CHECK

I cannot believe how much the puppies
have grown in just a short amount of time.
They went for their 3 month shots today
and behaved very well.
Marley weighed in at 24 1/2 lbs,
and Mya weighed in at a whoppin 26 lbs.

COUSINS

COUSINS

This is my beautiful Namesake,
Madison Denise.
It amazes me how much
her and Benjamin look a like.
I think that they could definitely
pass for brother and sister.

I LOVE THIS NINJA TURTLE

I LOVE NINJA TURTLES

I LOVE THIS MAN!

I LOVE THIS MAN!

Ernie knew that last week at work was ridiculously busy
and I was put out and exhausted.
So he surprised me and brought the new years in right
by surprising me at work
with beautiful red roses, a sweat tea, and candy.
I sure do LOVE this Man!

CHRISTMAS 2009

CHRISTMAS 2009

Christmas this year was so much fun like always.
We were able to give the boys everything they asked for.
Ben has been ready for Christmas for several months
and was constantly adding toys to his lists.
From Santa the boys received 4 wheelers
and remote control trucks each.
Brayden a piano and Ben buzz lightyear wings.
Brayden was so excited about the 4 wheeler that he
didn't really care too much about opening
the rest of his presents, so of course big brother helped him out.
Ernest got some money, a new xbox and game and some movies.
We also got each other a bunch of camping supplies
to use this summer.
Christmas is fun while your a kid,
but I think it is even better when you are a parent.

PREPARING FOR SANTA

PREPARING FOR SANTA

Ben informed me that Santa does not like white milk,
but he loves chocolate milk.
So of course cookies and chocolate milk freshly made by Ben.
He also told me that he needed to write Santa a letter
and draw him a picture to put with the cookies.
His letter said, "Thank you santa for the presents. Ben"
along with pretty pictures of santa,
cookies, and santa's sled (with a pathway).
Sweet baby came up with it all on his own.
The pure innocence of children makes you love being a parent.
After he got his presents the next morning he said,
"Thank you Jesus and Santa for my presents, and
Thank you for eating the cookies." :)
All I could do was smile and give him a big hug!

CHRISTMAS EVE 2009

CHRISTMAS EVE 2009

Last night and today we had a crazy
amount of snowfall that cost Ernie and I both a day of work.
I never thought you could literally get
snowed in living in West Texas,
but guess what? You can!
After 2 different attempts to make it to work,
several hours of shoveling and spinning tires
behind a 7 car pile up 5 miles from house,
I finally gave up. This may not seem like much
if you live in town, but keep in mind I live in the country
where there is a lot of empty fields
so there is absolutely nothing to stop the wind and snow
and nobody comes around with salt trucks.
Needless to say we had to wait for another car
to call a tractor to come tow us all out!
CRAZY! So after all the frustrations with all the snow,
I decided to enjoy it and Ben and I went outside
for snowball fights, snow angels and an attempted snowman.
He had so much fun,
I guess everything happens for a reason.

THE NOT SO FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

THE NOT SO FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Why is it that my snowmen are never round?
I pack it and pack it but it never ends up round.
Ben and I went outside thinking that we
were going to make frosty the snowman,
but he was quick to point out that
it did not look like frosty or a snowman.
Sorry son your Mom is a little challenged.

MARLEY AND MYA 2 MONTHS OLD

Marley and Mya at Two Months Old

I cannot believe how big
the puppies are already getting.
They are both so heavy now
I am curious to see how much they weigh.
Ben loves his puppies and
asks to play with them everyday.

FOOTED PJS

FOOTED PJS

What is it about zipped up footed pjs
that make them so darn cute?
Is it the fact that they zip all the way up,
or that their little feet are all snug in them,
or is it just the cute little boys inside them!

LITTLE INDIAN BOYS

LITTLE INDIAN BOYS

Since craft day fell on Thanksgiving Day
I decided to help the boys make little indian costumes.
Ben cut out all the little shapes
for his vest all by himself and glued them on.
They kinda lost patience while making the vests
so they were done really fast and not really what I wanted.
They really loved the hats though.
They both picked out their favorite feather
and wore the hats around the house.
What cute Little Indian Boys I have!

Thanksgiving 2009

THANKSGIVING

There were so many things to be
thankful for this year.
The Lord has blessed me with a beautiful little family.
My children are healthy and happy
and no longer have to attend a day care.
Ernie and I both have a good job that we both love.
Friends that I would do anything in this world for,
and a brand new home where we were all
able to gather for Thanksgiving this year.
Family started arriving around 11:00
and we just grazed on food all day.
Ernest however was very missed this Thanksgiving.
I hope that next year he will be able to join us.

END OF FOOTBALL SEASON

END OF FOOTBALL SEASON

We finished the football season by competing
with the Bushland Falcons
for the Area Championship Title.
We kept them on their toes the whole first half.
Ernest scored the first touchdown of the game,
and what ended up being the Antelopes only touchdown.
We got tired and ended up losing the game.
I am proud that we got this far.
There is always next year!

POWDER DISASTER

POWDER DISASTER

While Mommy was at the midnight showing
of the Twilight Saga "New Moon",
this is what was going on at my house.
To Ernie's defense he was in the middle of receiving
a very important phone call while this was going on.
Thank goodness the boys didn't have
a severe respiratory infection or an asthma attack after it all.
In the midst of Daddy being mad before cleaning up
he managed to take some pictures of what Ben called
a "POWDER PARTY".

FIRST TRIP TO THE VET

FIRST TRIP TO THE VET

Today was Marley and Mya's first trip to the vet.
I know.. sad huh... only had them one day and
already taking them to get shots.
I new they were big at 6 weeks old but to my surprise
Marley weighed in at 7 lbs and
Mya weighed in at 7 1/2 lbs.
They did very good and checked out with
a clean (yet expensive) bill of health.
These are their new sweaters I bought them.
We will see how long they last, but
for right now don't they look cute.

MEETING THE PUPPIES

MEETING THE PUPPIES

We were able to bring our new addition
home Sunday night.
Marley and Mya.
They turned six weeks old yesterday.
This was the first meeting with the boys.
It went fabulous.
The puppies stayed inside and
got lots of love and attention.
Figured out a lot in one night.
Marley snores (loud) and Mya runs in her sleep.
Marley is definitely more curious and hyper.
While Marley is running around exploring,
Mya would snuggle up and take a nap.
They had to go outside to go potty every 2 1/2 hrs.
Long night but well worth it.

BI-DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

BI-DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

We packed it up and traveled to Sweetwater Friday
to watch the Bold Gold Antelopes play against the Sonora Broncos.
We defeated the Broncos with a 35-28 win.
In the 2nd quarter Ernest caught a pass for a touchdown
which tied the game 21-21.
The 4th quarter was neck and neck.
The Broncos kicked an on side kick
where Ernest literally did a flip in the air catching it.
It was awesome, something that should be on ESPN.
We were awarded with the Bi-District Championship trophy after the game.
I can't wait until next friday when we play for Area at Lowery Field.
It is going to be a tough game against Bushland who has a record of 11-0.
We shall see. Either way I am very proud of these boys.

Captain Underpants

CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS

Today for craft day we made superhero costumes.
Ben inspired this one the other night when
he put his underwear on his head after his bath.
Brayden didn't care much for his costume,
just his sword.
This my friends is.....
CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS!

PLAYER TO WATCH

PLAYER TO WATCH

Thanks to the Lubbock Avalanche Journal Article
this week where Ernest was named the Player to watch.
He got to be a decoy at the Littlefield game.
We lost the game 13-18.
Now come on coach a fake to Ernest every play?????
He only got to touch the ball 3 times.
O-well still made the front sports page in Saturdays paper.
Way to go Son.
You lucked out Bridget.....maybe we will get to face you again in finals. :)

HALLOWEEN 2009

HALLOWEEN 2009

The boys had so much fun trick or treating this year.
Ben was all about his dinosaur costume,
and excited from the get go.
A little ways into it Brayden figured out
exactly what trick or treating was all about.
(Getting candy).
After that Brayden was right up there with his brother
and his cousins knocking on doors and getting candy.
He decided to use his charm and his cuteness
to not get just a piece of candy in one hand,
but to get one in his other hand as well.
They had so much fun.
Ben is already asking to do it again.
How can you not resist this cute
little dinosaur and dragon.
I took 84 pictures of them with the majority
of them turning out really cute.
Unfortunately, blog spot will only let
you upload 5 pictures per post.

ANTELOPES vs. TIGERS

ANTELOPES vs. TIGERS

The Bold Gold Antelopes beat the Slaton Tigers
Friday night with a final score of 48-12.
Ernest started it off by
scoring the first touchdown in the game.
That win got us a spot to play for
District Championship.
Next game is against Littlefield Friday.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

I'M SMILING BECAUSE....

I'M SMILING BECAUSE

Ernest is not smiling because
of his 11 carries for 129 yards or
because of his 57 yard run touchdown,
but because he got ticked at one of the Denver City players
and decided to throw him by his face mask after the play was called.
Thank goodness the unsportsmanlike conduct did not
cost them the game.
We beat Denver City 17-0.
Which puts us 2nd in District with a record of 4-1.

74 YARD TOUCHDOWN POST vs SHALLOWATER

POST vs SHALLOWATER

Last nights game was so amazing to watch.
We were neck and neck the entire game.
Ernest played awesome.
The best play of the game was towards the end
when the Quarterback handed it off to Ernest
and he ran 74 yards for a touchdown.
Ernie and I were practically jumping off the stands.
We won the game 28-21.
I am so proud of him.

It was too cold for Ben and Brayden at the game but they got dressed
up in their Antelope gear anyway to support Big Brother.

NEW ADDITION

NEW ADDITION TO THE SALDIVAR FAMILY

These beautiful lab puppies are the newest addition to the Saldivar Family.
They are only two weeks old right now so we cannot get them for four more weeks.
Their names are Marley and Mya.
Finally some girls to the family.

Today was Ernie's 37th birthday.
We surprised Daddy when he came home with some homeade cupcakes.

POST WHOOPS FLOYDADA

POST  WHOOPS  FLOYDADA

Well not really, but we won!
Final score was 13-6.
Ernest scored the first touchdown of the game.
I am so proud of him.
This is him number 2 the only white jersey
in the middle of all the green ones.
He definitely gives it his all.

YARD WORK

YARD WORK

Since we moved out in the country there
is a lot more yard to manage.
Especially considering it was all dirt.
Thank goodness my husband loves to work outside.
On this particular evening I was at work
and the boys wanted to help Daddy with some yard work.
When I saw these pictures my first question was
how in the world did they get so dirty!
Ernie's reply was THEIR BOYS and he is exactly right.

BROTHERS

BROTHERS

I am so glad that Ernest came up and
stayed with us for the weekend.
I sure have missed it between being junior in high school,
having a girlfriend, working full time, football
and practice we haven't got
to spend much time with him.
His little brother's were very excited to see him.
I just love those boys!

ROCKET SHIP

ROCKET SHIP

Every Thursday at our house is craft day.
We started it when we first moved into our new home.
The boys have their own little craft area and
tons of arts and crafts to choose from.
Lately Ben has been dreaming about rocket ships
and going to outer space,
because of this we decided on building a rocket ship for craft day.
This was how it turned out....
Hopefully the next attempt will be better.....

FISHING

BEN'S FIRST FISH

We decided to start September off with a picnic and
fishing at the park.
The boys had so much fun doing it.
Ben is getting so good at casting his line out in the water.
Brayden mostly enjoyed hitting the water with his fishing pole and getting everybody wet.
Ben was so excited when he caught his first fish. He was so happy that he almost let it go, so Daddy had to help him reel it in.

HAVING FUN

HAVING FUN

Ernie took these pictures of the boys
one day when I was at work.
The boys always have so much fun outside.
Do you think they had fun?
(Notice the cheetos all over their faces and the muddy legs and shoes)
Gotta love them.

LIGHTENING MCQUEEN CAR

THE NEW CAR

Since we finally have a place for the boys to ride their cars we finally invested in another one. We were debating on getting them a truck where they can both ride together or getting them each their own. However we came across this lightening mcqueen car and new that Ben would love it. So we decided to get that one and hand Ben's old car down to Brayden. It didn't phase Brayden one bit because he hardly ever got to ride that one anyway. The plan though is to get Brayden his very own truck christmas. We are going to eventually make them a racing track behind our house. The boys decided it would just be best if they drove them all in the front yard over Daddy's newly planted grass.

HOUSE WARMING PARTY

SURPRISE HOUSE WARMING PARTY

We invited family over for a cookout to celebrate my birthday. We had so much fun all spending time together. The kids all had a blast catching baby frogs while the adults hung out. Afterwards we were surprised with a house warming party. Ernie and I couldn't have been more surprised and happy. I look forward to many more cookouts and good times!

JULY 4TH

JULY 4TH

This year we were able to celebrate the 4th of July at our new house.
We started it off by going to Amber and Ethan's for a delicious cookout. Afterwards Martin and Mandy hit up the fireworks stand and we all met out at our house for an awesome fireworks display. The kids had so much fun. This was Ben's first year doing sparklers and bottle rockets! (with Dad's help of course). I can't wait for next year.

NEW HOUSE

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME

After years of renting and losing money we finally have the house of our dreams.
We purchased 2.5 acres out in the country and started building our house 6 months ago.
We finally are ready to move in. I absolutely love it. I am looking forward to many years to come in our new home. There is a lot we need to do such as grass, landscaping, and building a garage and shop. But at least I can finally say that it is ours. I am a very lucky woman.

THIS BOY IS EVERYWHERE

THIS BOY IS EVERYWHERE

Brayden is everywhere and in to everything.

His new favorite hiding spot is.........

you guessed it, the fireplace!

Thank goodness we have never actually used it.

Also the day he turned 14 months old (june 8th) he finally said Ma-Ma.

Unfortunately it was not in a happy tone.

He was mad at me and let me know it! LOL.

Oh these boys are a mess!

BIG BROTHER

LOVE FROM BROTHER

With Ernest being in high school,
playing baseball, basketball and football,
and working a full time job,
he hardly makes it up to Lubbock.
When he does come over the boys go crazy.
I sure do love them.

HOT SAUCE

HOT SAUCE

I cannot believe what happened today.

We were sitting down eating dinner at IHOP as a family.

The waitress brings over Ben's syrup for his pancakes

and he bursts out HOT SAUCE!

Out of nowhere BRAYDEN says HOT SAUCE!

This may not sound funny to some,

but mind you the only words he says

is DaDa and Bubba and of course now HOT SAUCE.

No not Momma or Bye Bye, but HOT SAUCE.

WHY ARE MY EYES....

ANOTHER CONVERSATION WITH BEN

Once again another conversation with Ben has left me laughing.
It went like this:
Mommy... why is Bray's eyes blue like da sky,
and mine eyes brown like da dirt.
Trying to keep a straight face I replied:
Jesus wanted you too have brown eyes just like Daddy
and Bray to have blue eyes like Mommy.
Mommy loves your brown eyes.
He then replied:
Well OK.

BROWN LIKE DADDY

BROWN LIKE DADDY

Conversations with Ben just really make me smile.

The past couple of weeks his main conversation

over and over has gone like this:

"Mommy I'm pink and Daddy's brown,

bubba Ernest is brown and Bray's pink

and Im pink and Mommy's pink too."

Well the other night when I was giving the boys a bath

and he noticed very excited I might add that he has

got a really good tan going on,

so the conversation went like this

picture him all excited, and if you know my son

when he gets excited he raises his eyebrows as high as they can go,

squints his eyes and cheeses:

"MOMMY LOOK! My arms is brown like Daddy!

Look Mom, I'm not pink anymore!

Im just like my Daddy now and Im gonna be big strong too.

But look at Bray he is pink like you."

All I could say was yes Ben and laugh.

Being a Mother is the best gift on earth!

BEN WORKING ON HIS MUSCLES

WORKING ON GETTING MUSCLES

Ben always makes the comment that he
is small and wants to have big muscles
so he can be big like Daddy.
These are a couple of pictures I captured of him
working on getting muscles.
Slow down Ben, Mommy is not ready for you to grow up yet.

SUCKER

SUCKER

Ben is doing some of the funniest things these days like always...

His latest habit is looking for animal tracks

and bird watching with his binoculars...

he is such a boy...I LOVE IT.

Unfortunately he has figured out how to sucker anybody

when he is told no or he can't do something...

that is by saying but I love you...at the end of asking....

I thought he only suckers me with that,

but the other night he suckered Dad into

staying up til' almost midnight...

It was so cute witnessing Ernie give in,

but trying to sound as if he had it under

control and planned the whole time.

I sure do love my husband.

I know one thing is for sure... my kids sure are

lucky to have him as a Dad.

IT'S OFFICIAL

LOOK WHO IS WALKING...

It is official Brayden no longer crawls...

He not only walks everywhere, he halfway runs.

It is so cute watching him try to keep up

with his big brother. When he gets to running

to fast and falls down he is right back up

running in 1/2 a second.

LITTLE COWBOY

MY LITTLE COWBOY

We were walking in Walmart today and Ben
found this cowboy hat that he just had to have.
Doesn't he look too cute.

BEST FRIEND

BEST FRIEND

Ben is such a little turkey these days. He does and says some of the silliest things. For instance when we took him to get his hair cut he told me that he wanted it to stay sharp! What he meant was he wanted to still wear it spiky... I usually am laughing all the time, but a couple of days ago he was so precious he made me cry. Ernie and I were sitting in the living room watching a movie when he came up and laid his head on my shoulder and said, "Mommy... Your my BEST friend!" It's times like this that you

really just thank the Lord for blessing you with children.

BRAYDEN'S 1ST BIRTHDAY

BRAYDEN'S lst BIRTHDAY

My boys are getting so big,

I cannot believe my baby turned one yesterday.

We gave him a curious george party.

His favorite part was eating the icing off the cake of course!

When he went for his 1 year well check

he was in the 85th percentile at 24 1/2 lbs. 29 1/2" tall.

DECIDING TO BLOG

I decided to create a blog so my friends and family can keep up to date with what is going on in our lives and see up to date pictures of the boys. As you all now my boys are my life. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing family. I may fall behind on blogging every now and then but keep checking it out for something new!
