Today Ben tested for his

red stripe belt in

Taekwondo.

I am not bragging just because

he is mine, but this kid is good at what he does!

We decided to give Ropes T-ball

a try this year.

It was an interesting season to say the least,

but Ben had fun and his talent still shined!

This Summer has been so hot

reaching over 100 degrees all week up to 112!

With EXTRA sunscreen needed just to

walk outside we still manage to have

so much fun!

The Boys always insist on helping

when it comes to yard work!

Even though most of the time they

are in the way,

sometimes they are actually pretty helpful!

I just wish they would volunteer to clean their rooms!

Ernie surprised me with some new trees today.

Now we currently have 14!

3 Live oak, 1 red oak, 2 lacebark elm

2 magnolia, 2 desert willow and 4 crape myrtles!

I am super stoked :)

Bahama Bucks Treat

Bahama Bucks Family Time

Today we picked up Bahama Bucks Snow Cones

with the Boys and enjoyed the afternoon

under a shade tree at the Park.

Even though it might sound cheesy to you,

Bahama Bucks always holds a special memory

for me and Ernie, because we used to

always start our dates when we were first dating

13 years ago by going to Bahama Bucks :)

We still Love It!

Summertime Drive-In

Summertime Drive-In

One of the things I love most about

Summertime is being able to enjoy the drive-in!

The weather is perfect for kicking open the back of the

Yukon and relaxing in the warm air winding down to

a double feature!

This time we picked up Sonic drinks and

a large pizza to go and watched

Kung Fu Panda 2 and Thor.

I was proud of myself for refraining from their

delicious funnel cakes.

However, I regret it and next time I am going

to intentionally give in to my fattening Temptation!

SUMMER 2011

SUMMERTIME 2011

The boys have been so excited that it is finally Summer!

It was so hot they got to enjoy a little bit of everything.

Aunt Judy and Hayley bought them this slip and slide

for their birthday and they have been dying to try it out ever since.

As for the mud bath,

Ernie and I walked outside to find this!

I told them it was too hot to play outside again

in the water after I had already given them their bath.

They thought this was okay since they were in the shade!
